Meals & Themes!

During Family Time, students and table parents enjoy a meal together with a different theme and table game each Wednesday. Mealtimes are celebrated as we experience being the family of God. Table parents are adults from our congregation who facilitate conversation, table games, and the serving of food and clean up at their tables.

Some of our favorite dinner themes this year were: Talk Like a Pirate Night, the Bring a Friend Luau, Kazoo Night and Backwards Night. Table games ranged from spoon hanging (on the nose!) on Camp Night to dressing up like Abraham Lincoln on Presidents’ Night.

Students in grades 2 through 5 have their Family Time in the downstairs dining room. Middle school students have Family Time in the fellowship room which is on the main floor. Several times a year, Middle schoolers enjoy a trip to Tom Wahl’s or Pizza Hut for Middle school Night Out.

A dedicated team of cooks, shoppers, menu and dinner theme planners prepare meals and decorations for each Wednesday! Thank You!!!!
